5 Minor Home Improvements that Help Bring Buyer Results!
1. Start with the Kitchen! The kitchen is the most important room in the house for most Buyers. Resurfacing, sanding, and/or painting the cabinets is worthwhile. If the flooring is in poor condition, it is good to replace that too! Fresh paint. Try to get most of the items off the counter to simplify and make it seem more spacious.
2. Update the Bathrooms. Paint and flooring are a good idea. Replacing the vanity set usually is the greatest payoff.
3. Clean the laundry room! Hire a carpenter to install built-in shelving. Paint and change the flooring if it is worn.
4. Scrub it Clean! Squeaky clean is the way to 'Wow' a Buyer. If the home is very clean, the Buyer will usually give the Seller the benefit of the doubt. If it is dirty, they will assume there are many hidden defects.
5. Do an Overall Check. Make sure to patch any holes, touch up paint, de-clutter all areas of the house, clean out closets and make sure that everything overall is in good working order.
